Raccoon D'État is a family strategy game in which players race to collect treasure, steal from rivals, and escape the city to win.

Every turn, players decide whether to move their raccoon toward victory or move the garbage token to disrupt their opponents.

How to Play

Raccoon D'État is easy to learn and quick to play. Most games take about 15–30 minutes and every turn presents meaningful choices.

Set up the game

Place the game board in the center of the table. Place all 16 treasure tokens on their matching colored houses. Place the garbage token on the center fountain space. Each player chooses a raccoon pawn and places it on their matching home base. The player who most recently saw a raccoon takes the first turn.

On your turn...

Each turn begins with a spin of the wheel. You must then move either your raccoon pawn or the garbage token up to the number of spaces shown.

Spin the wheel. Move your raccoon pawn OR move the garbage token. Collect treasure, steal from rivals, or bank treasure if able.

Example Turn

You spin an 8. You may move your raccoon up to 8 spaces toward treasure, or move the garbage token up to 2 spaces to block an opponent's path.

Another Game Concept

Treasure can be stolen! If you move adjacent to a rival carrying treasure while you are empty-handed, you may steal their loot. Stealing does not end your turn, so clever raccoons can keep running after a successful heist.
