Pump & Dump is an economic card game in which players are financial titans competing to profit from three global markets: New York, London, and Tokyo. Market information is divided into five sectors — energy, technology, politics, media, and finance — with cards ranked from 1 to 8.

At the start of each round, each player keeps one information card secret and reveals the rest. On a turn, a player either discloses a card to one of the markets, invests in a player they expect to become that market's top beneficiary, or passes by discarding an investment marker. Each investment occupies the leftmost available space on the chosen player's market row: each successive space costs more and pays a smaller return. Secret information played into a market remains hidden until settlement.

When the markets close, all hidden information is revealed. In each market, every player combines the two cards remaining in front of them with the five shared market cards and forms the strongest possible four-card hand. Hands range from one pair to a straight flush. Investments placed on a market winner pay according to their spaces, and the first-, second-, and third-ranked players receive additional market rewards.

The standard game lasts two rounds. Between rounds, the player with the least money chooses a government subsidy — either a free investment marker or permission to keep a second information card secret — while the player with the most money becomes the next starting player. After the second round, the player with the most money wins; tied players share the victory. The game also includes an advanced three-round market-event variant and a solo mode.

标准游戏进行两轮。第二轮结束后，资金最多的玩家获胜；平局者共同获胜。游戏还包含三轮制市场事件变体和官方单人模式。
