While Napoleon fought the British at Waterloo, Grouchy was ordered to attack the Prussians at Wavre, to the east. The goal was to keep the Prussians from reinforcing Wellington but that failed. Blücher did indeed slip away and arrive at Waterloo, just in time for the decisive blow.
This map connects continuously the other Waterloo maps with no gaps, so it can be combined with the other games to play the whole Waterloo campaign.
This game requires the pieces from Pub Battles: Waterloo to play.

Ligny was the opening to the Waterloo campaign. While Ney tied down the British to the north west at Quatre Bras, Napoleon pursued the Prussian I Corps north east. The Prussians stopped to form a line of defense at Ligny and called in reinforcements from Namur. The fight was on! This map connects continuously to our Wavre and Quatre Bras map with no gaps....
