The Fall of Rome is free to download and introduces 7 new factions, including Late Romans, Picts, Goths, Britons and Huns. As the Roman empire starts to crumble, who will end up on top?

In your (perhaps digital) hands, you have the free Pillage supplement covering Late Antiquity. This “mini-supplement” has been created to push Pillage’s possibilities into a new era of gaming: Late Antiquity, and the end of the Western Roman Empire.

This mini-supplement includes 7 new factions, designed to work together as a coherent whole. However, there’s nothing stopping you from playing anachronistic games between armies from this supplement and the main rulebook – as long as you’re comfortable with the total dissolution of the time-stream!

Since this mini-supplement is free, it hasn’t undergone the same rigorous testing as the Pillage rulebook. It will therefore change over time as we use feedback from players to tweak costs and keep these new factions, abilities, and weapons properly balanced. This PDF has a date and version number you can check on the cover to see if you’re up-to-date.

This supplement may well become the core of a future full book-length supplement, complete with new factions like Vandals, Sassanids, and Lombards, new scenarios, and new game rules.
