You’re a music fan and a lover of pets. And you’re in luck, since all of these pets play musical instruments! Sure, the different animals play different styles of music, but you love all of it. So, today is the day to adopt the finest pet musicians around, in order to form exceptional musical ensembles. And certainly you will agree, there is nothing more exquisite than a perfect quartet!

Pet Quartet is a tactical set-collection game in which players adopt musical pets, represented by cards. Your goal is to collect cards of the same number, however, you only score points for soloists and quartets! That is, for each type of animal, you only want to have exactly one card from that set, or exactly four cards from that set. Once the last card of the deck has been drawn, the game will end. Then players score points for their soloists and quartets, and the musical pet lover with the highest score wins!

Pet Quartet uses a "pairs deck" in which the value of each card is also the number of that card in the deck. For example there are 3 snakes (marked 3), 4 turtles (marked 4), five 5s, six 6s, and so on, all the way up to 13 latin music ferrets. This means it will be much easier to collect a quartet of 13's, but also easier to go over 4 cards for that set. The game asks players to push their luck and consider the right time to take a soloist or build towards a quartet without going over.
