"The fun way to discover and explore the world of work".

Do you fancy becoming a gardener, a nurse or a community worker? The basic game has you trying to win cards by comparing various jobs by comparing their values such as physical effort or the average salary for that specific job.

A game for 2-6 people can play. The cards are dealt out among the players. Each player holds their cards face up but may only look at their top card and slowly work through their hand.

To start the first player chooses the a job statistic such as how much physical effort that job entails and the other players read out the value their top card has for that statistic. The winner of that trick has the best or highest value wins and takes the other players hand and pops that into their deck. The winner then choose the statistic for the next round.

The special quality of this game, which separates it from other trump card variants, is that you are able to think about careers and what it takes to get that kind of job. The main game and the other suggested variants all offer the opportunity to discuss and explore the world of work and for the group to think and challenge their ideas about careers.

This is a card based educational game in the style of the Top Trumps but where players can learn about various careers and what they entail. There are 50 career cards showing a wide range of occupations such as hair dressers, teachers and sport scientists. What better way to explore the confusing world of work than playing this game? The future is a scary and uncertain place but this game helps break down the various work roles are, what they do and how someone might try and enter that field. Its also a creative game where players can talk about what work actually is and how individuals, communities and business operates.

The game also offers play variations such as creative writing, story based acting improv and a three player word association game.

This game would work well with a teacher or career guidance officer to help explore potential education and job choices with a group.

The cards can also be used as a springboard for a project or creative writing exercise as the designers suggest doing further research and arguing for or against the cards ratings.

The career cards give a basic outline of what a specific job as well as a fun fact. An example, such as for the role of DOCTOR, advises that "Doctors examine, diagnose and treat patients, usually in hospitals or general practice. There are over 60 specialist areas of work which can often involve long and irregular hours. A confident, calm and caring nature is essential". The fun fact for this card is that "There are more than 600 individual muscles and 206 bones in the human body".

Each career has 6 categories players can use: Study/training, physical effort and brain power as well as social good, average salary and robot risk where the chance that automation or AI might take over and make post holders potentially redundant.
