Welcome to the scenic Palmer, Alaska! In Palmer Market & Moosechief, players are enterprising locals exploring the unique landscapes of Palmer, Alaska to gather resources and fulfill orders to help complete the community’s premier board game café, Moose & Meeple. To succeed, you must navigate the iconic terrain of Palmer, manage your pool of workers, and contend with the unpredictable movements of the local moose population.

The game is played over exactly ten rounds. Each round begins with a placement phase where players take turns placing worker meeples from their active pool onto any of the ten numbered locations or the central café hub. Once all workers are placed, the first player rolls a ten-sided die three times to determine the movement of three neutral moose meeples. Any worker sharing a space with a moose is instantly frozen—receiving zero resources and remaining trapped on the board. Safe workers gather resources such as cabbage, wool, stone, gold, and ice, which are then brought back to the central Moose & Meeple Café to fulfill specific, high-scoring order cards. Players must manage their pacing carefully, especially since a locked fourth worker meeple is unlocked at the start of round six, dramatically changing the economy for the final five rounds.

When the tenth round concludes, players tally their victory points to determine the winner. Points are earned primarily from completed order cards, with a minor bonus of 1 victory point awarded for every three remaining resources in your supply. The player with the highest total victory points wins the game.
