Players take on the role of Octorun, an octopus creature who loves to run, and race to become the fastest Octorunner in the world. By drinking energy drinks from vending machines, the Octans can run while using various abilities. But be careful, if the energy drink you're aiming for overlaps with another player's, you won't be able to drink it.

During the drafting phase, players secretly select a drink from a vending machine. Starting in reverse order, players reveal their choice one at a time and use the effect for that drink. If two players pick the same drink, the second player must choose a random drink on his turn. After all players have used their drink, a new round starts.

There are also many other gimmicks to give you an advantage in the race, such as placing gum on the course to hinder the progress of other Octans, or receiving special shoes from sponsors to gain special abilities.

The game ends when a player crosses the finish line, starting off a last minute sprint to the finish. The player who sprints ahead the most, wins the game.
