The city was always dangerous but now invaders from dread dimensions have arrived to make it truly nightmarish. Only you can defeat them!

Taking on the role of cyberpunk themed heroes and heroines, the players will try to survive in a place they thought they knew well but which has now been corrupted by Lovecraftian outside forces.

Players go through a location deck where each card represents a different location within the city. For each location an encounter – such as a creature or other hazard – is drawn from another deck. Players have a number of options on how they can try and defeat the encounter depending on their characters skills and armament, equipment and magical artifacts (even the foul Techronomicon!) they have gained and the characteristics of the location and encounter card.

If defeated the encounter gives extra resources for the characters. Otherwise, they lose life or psych tokens; If one character loses all of either, then they die or go hopelessly insane and the game is over.

Players have to be careful on how they manage the resources they gain – take on too few and they won’t be strong enough, but having too much technology or dark knowledge risks losing psych, eventually destroying your very humanity and blasting your mind apart.

Eventually the players will face off with one of a number of different ‘big bosses’ lurking in the labs of the Nyarlatho-Tech Foundation – overcome this final encounter and the city is saved!

Nyarlatho-Tech is a science fiction and horror themed card game, played solo or cooperatively with up to four players. It is simple to set up and easy to play but offers a complex and exciting challenge with multiple styles of play. The city and its inhabitants are randomly generated each time so each game is different.

There’s Dark Gods in those dark alleys so keep your wits – and weapons and weird science - about you!
