„If you decipher the ancient document, a door will open...” – This book is composed of such riddles. All the stories are connected, and the cases progress as the mysteries are being solved. Then eventually, a grandiose final mystery emerges!
One player becomes the questioner. They read the mystery aloud, then draws a card with a picture on it, and shows it to the other players. The card contains clues related to the cases. The clues can be instant hints, or have an importance later on. If you give a wrong answer, you might get an unexpected reply from the questioner. The questioner’s turn goes clockwise.
The main component of the game is a book, which attempts to evoke an atmosphere similar to that of mystery TPRG’s and escape games. The book counts 52 pages, with 8 mysteries to solve. Playtime is about 60~90 minutes. Difficulty is easy, and basically anyone can play it (all the kanji learnt above elementary 6th grade has furigana attached). However, the stories gradually get harder and harder towards the end.
