Mythos Rising is our Horror based Card game franchise rooted in deep Lovecraftian themes.

The Broken Circle takes place in 1940, one year after the events of the first game.

A new group has appeared in the rural regions of Texas. The Nagual-khan, shapeshifters created through dark magic and blood sacrifice. The people are speaking of mystery figures appearing in town.

YOU play as an Investigator for the Midsummer institute, a private collection of individuals who risk their lives and their sanity to understand and push back against the creatures from beyond, but this time it's worse than ever before.

The corruption has spread far into the town affecting the townsfolk, you'll have to face off against the ancient entities and the Nagual-Khan alike.

Game Objective

Multiple locations have become 'corrupted' once these locations have been discovered through acquiring clue points and once 'cleansed' an Elder card will be placed into the game deck.

These Elder cards are the final opponents of the game. They must all be slain to win.

Game Play

The game is driven by a deck of cards. You will draw one card per turn and encounter the events detailed on that drawn card. Some cards provide multiple options and from there you get to choose which path you will take.

The cards range from NPCs, Opponents, Locations and Equipment. When drawing a location card you can choose to enter as to gain unique rewards.

Completing the events on a drawn card can result in 'Clue points' once enough points have been gained you can choose to find 'corrupted' locations that can be cleansed. The cleansing of these sights is the main way the Elder cards (final bosses) are placed into the main deck.

At times, the cards will also provide you with the option to turn to a page in the Chronicle, a highly detailed booklet full of lore heavy events often 1-2 pages long. These events have unique mechanics not seen on the cards.

Combat and skill checks are resolved through dice rolls.
