The tides have turned. A colossal void rift has torn open across the Coral Isles, and from it emerge the Riftlords—ancient beings of living shadow bent on corrupting the Waystones and dragging the Isles into endless chaos.

This is a fully cooperative boss-battling expansion to MonToons: Clash of the Coral Isles, transforming the competitive experience into a shared fight for survival.

Built directly on the core systems of Clash of the Coral Isles, players roll and assign their action dice as usual—but now every decision is made in service of the team. Dice fuel movement across the map, unleash attacks, reinforce defenses and charge devastating abilities as players coordinate turn order, positioning and timing. Success depends on communication and synergy: setting each other up, managing threats, and choosing when to press the attack or protect the Waystones.

Each game is a standalone boss battle. Players simply choose a Riftlord to face, select any Battle Map and pick their favorite MonToons to bring to the fight. Every Riftlord is modular, bringing its own unique mechanics and minions that acts on its behalf, warping the battlefield and forcing players to adapt. Different combinations of bosses, maps and MonToons ensure every fight feels distinct without the need for scripted scenarios.

Players win by working together to defeat the Riftlord, reducing its health to zero and sealing the rift. Players lose if the Riftlord defeats all players or corrupts and destroys three Waystones.

In this cooperative expansion, victory is earned not through rivalry, but through teamwork, tactical dice placement and a united stand to defend the Coral Isles.
