After millennia of forced coexistence at the helm of the shared Italian province of Massa-Carrara, the city of Carrara has decided to reach independence, and it wants to succeed at all costs! Just like in Japanese anime, it decides to divert all its resources into building lethal machines intended for devastation.
Marble giant robots.

Weapons of mass destruction. Or rather...
Marbles of Massa destruction!

Each player represents one of two companies (MarmoMech and Robostone Inc.) competing to obtain Carrara's outsourcing of the "obliteration of the city of Massa through the use of a large-scale marble automaton" (quoted from the tender notice issued by the Municipality of Carrara).
The project managers of the two companies must travel around Tuscany trying to secure the services of the best specialized laboratories staffed by sufficiently crazy scientists. The goal is to be the first to build a giant robot (“Robottone”) capable of performing a demonstration for the client. Unfortunately, these specialists have a tendency to be venal, and so they're willing to work for whoever hires them last... including the city of Massa!
Furthermore, the intern assigned by the Municipality of Carrara to draft the tender text distorted a couple of place names, resulting in the site expropriated by the Municipality of Carrara to allow for the construction of the “Robottoni” not being in Marina di Massa as planned, but in Massa Marittima, approximately 175 km away!
Anyway, the company that manages to cause the most damage to the Massa Provincial Palace will have proven itself best suited to carry out the task: it will therefore win the contract (and the game).
During the game, we'll manage our agents in Tuscany to recruit scientists and earn dice of certain colors. We'll use the dice to improve the characteristics of our giant robots and launch our attacks on Massa. Never understimate the importance and power of marble!
