A mandragora that lets out a terrifying scream if pulled up. Let’s head out into the night forest in search of one.

The night forest is dark. You play a card and circle around the mandragora. By the time several piles of cards have formed around the mandragora, you should be able to spot it. Now, pull it up. When someone announces they’re pulling it out, the others can either help or cover their ears. The key factor here is how many cards are near you.

The dangerous scream reaches the person with the highest total of nearby card values. However, the points you can earn are correspondingly higher. Covering your ears keeps you safe at all times. But if both your hands are over your ears, you’ll only get the mandragora’s roots. If you try to pull it up with both hands on the leaves, you’ll get both the roots and the leaves! …You know you can’t stop the scream, right?

The winner is the person who makes the best choices and collects the most roots and leaves.
