MAIL BUCKS is a light, yet strategic math game. The game is all about delivering mathematically-correct mail around neighbourhoods and collecting money in return.

LASERCUT COMPONENTS:
• 108 number tiles: 1-9, 10, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50

• 12 sets of operator tiles: + - x
• 10 house standees with bases

• 5 mailboxes with bases
• 5 mail trucks with bases

• 20 coins in two denominations ($) ($$)

GOAL:
Players will be required to collect numbers to form equations. The equation will match a house number. Deliver the mail to the matching house to get paid. Collect the most value in coins by forming simple mathematical equations that yield a street delivery address for a target house.

MODES:
Younger Child Play: Only the addition operators will be used and house numbers will range from 11 to 20.
Full Play: All mathematical operators are used with house numbers 11-99.
 

SETUP:
• Arrange the houses into your choice of neighbourhoods with one mailbox per group (see Neighbourhoods below)
• Shuffle the number tiles and operators upside down in two separate draw piles
• Assign each house an address using random number tiles (1-9 only) face up.
• Place a coin on each house base as follows: one ($) for addresses 11-50, ($$) for addresses 51+.

• Place three number tiles and one operator tile face up on each mailbox base.
• Each player grabs a mail truck.
• Each player grabs one number tile to keep in secret.

END OF GAME CONDITIONS:
Agree upon what constitutes the end of the game:
• Abandoned Homes: upon picking up money, the house is abandoned and will no longer have an address.
• Target Score: play until a player has collected coins that total a minimum value like 5 points.

GAME PLAY:
On each turn, a player has 30 seconds to do the following:
• Move their truck to either a mailbox or house.

• When at a mailbox, pick up one or more required tiles into their truck slots, replacing empty mailbox slots with fresh tile(s) from the draw pile(s).
• When at a house, call out their equation and destination address, allowing opponent(s) to verify the math is correct; collect the coin; replace the house with two fresh tiles (unless abandoned); discard all the tiles from the truck.

Secret Number Tile:
Place your secret number tile into your truck at any time. Once used, grab another number tile to keep secret.

Mailbox Operations:
A truck at a mailbox may either:

• Take one or more tiles from the mailbox and place in the truck; replace all empty mailbox slots with new tile(s) from the appropriate draw pile(s)

House Operations:
If the truck is in the same neighbourhood as their destination address, the player calls out their equation and collects the coins.

If the truck fulfills their equation and is not at the neighbourhood with the destination address, the player must wait until their next turn to move their truck to the correct neighbourhood.

TIP: Before selecting tiles at a mailbox, choose wisely based on the addresses you see.

FORMING EQUATIONS:
Form math equations by using at least two numbers and one operator. The equation is formed within the base of your truck. The solution to the equation will be the address of a house (destination). To form the equation, collect the correct numbers and operator(s). Examples:

Valid Matching Equations
7+7 2x5+4 20-6 all match house number 14.

ENDING THE GAME:
Keep playing until no one can collect any more tiles.

WINNING THE GAME:
The winner will have the most value in coins. If there is a tie, play another round.

EXCEPTIONS:
You cannot stop in a neighbourhood where there is another truck. Only one truck per neighbourhood.
