The world is on the brink of destruction during the fourth “cold war”. The world has congealed into 5 ruling nations. Each nation sits poised to strike with their full nuclear arsenal. In these trying times one thing is for certain… there will be mutually assured destruction.

During a game of M.A.D - Mutually assured destruction, players take the role of a nuclear superpower. Each player will join the arms race, building missiles, defences and bunkers to ensure they survive the coming armageddon.

A game of M.A.D. involves playing many game rounds, made up of player turns. During a players turn, they will be performing actions that involve playing cards, consisting of either missiles, defences or special cards. When all players have had their turn, there will be a missile phase that occurs simultaneously across all players.

The goal of M.A.D. is to destroy all other nations while keeping your nation safe from missile bombardment. Failing that, ensure your nation saves the most of population in nuclear bunkers.
