Ave Lanista! and welcome to Ludus, a miniatures game in which you recreate the fights of the
gladiators in the sandy arenas across the Roman world.

In Chapter I: Core Rules we describe the basic rules that you need to play a game of gladiatorial combat.
Chapter II: Gladiators shows the different types of gladiators that existed during Roman times.
Once you have read Chapters I and II you are ready to play your first matches!
In Chapter III: Gladiatorial Games you can find all sorts of alternate setups for matches.
We also describe rules to set up a Ludi, a Festival, in which a multitude of gladiatorial matches are fought. You can have your gladiators facing wild beasts, fight within a ring of fire or in jungle terrain against multiple enemies!
Chapter IV describes the rules for the full experience of our game; running a Campaign!
In a Campaign each player will act as a Lanista, a trainer and manager of a group of gladiators and play out running a Ludus, a Gladiatorial school.
Your gladiators will fight in the different Ludi, gaining experience, which in turn grants them new abilities. The gladiators will gain Glory for themselves and for you, so you can become the greatest Lanista Rome has ever known!
