Game Overview
Welcome to Lords of the Casion, a high-stakes worker placement and gambling strategy game where players compete to build the largest fortune over five rounds of casino action.
Throughout the game, players will send workers to various locations around the casino floor, including classic gambling games such as Blackjack, Texas Hold'em Poker, Roulette, Craps, and Slot Machines. Players can earn money through skill, luck, calculated risks, and occasionally through less-than-honest means such as loans from the Loan Shark.
Managing your money is just as important as winning bets. Players may take out loans, cash in favors from Uncle Tony, manipulate turn order, and react to unpredictable events that can dramatically change the course of the game.
At the end of the fifth round, all outstanding debts must be settled. The player who has accumulated the greatest fortune after repaying loans is crowned the true Lord of the Casino.

Objective
The goal of Lords of the Casion is to finish the game with more money than any other player.
The game lasts exactly five rounds. During the game, players earn money by participating in casino games, taking loans, utilizing special abilities, and making strategic decisions with their workers.

At the end of the fifth round:
Players receive any end-game bonuses.

All outstanding loans must be repaid.
Remaining cash is totaled.

The player with the most money wins the game.

Board Overview
The game board represents a bustling casino floor and is divided into several major sections. Each area provides different opportunities to earn money, influence the game, or manage risk.
Mini-Game Areas

The casino floor contains five primary gambling attractions:
Blackjack – Challenge the dealer and attempt to reach 21 without busting.
Texas Hold'em Poker – Compete against other players to create the strongest poker hand.
Roulette – Place wagers on numbers, colors, and odds before the wheel is spun.
Craps – Predict dice outcomes and manage multiple simultaneous bets.
Slot Machines – Test your luck against increasingly rewarding machines.

Workers placed in these areas will participate in their respective mini-games during the Activation Phase.

Financial Areas
These locations allow players to gain immediate access to money:

The Bank
The safest source of additional cash.

Players may take a standard bank loan in exchange for a Loan Token. Bank loans are easier to manage but must still be repaid at the end of the game.

The Loan Shark
Need money fast?

The Loan Shark offers larger amounts of cash but comes with greater long-term risk. Workers sent here become temporarily locked in holding cells while the player receives Loan Shark tokens and immediate cash.

Uncle Tony
Sometimes a friend in the right place is worth more than a winning hand.
Each player begins the game with a single Uncle Tony token. By visiting Uncle Tony's Cash Out space, players may exchange their token for immediate cash. If a player never uses their token, it becomes more valuable at the end of the game.

Turn Order & Event Area
This area serves two important purposes:
Determines player order for future turns.
Grants Event Cards that can help or hinder players.
Event Cards introduce unexpected twists, lucky breaks, and unfortunate setbacks that capture the unpredictable nature of casino life.

Recruiting Pool
The center of the board contains the Recruiting Pool.

Each player begins the game with four workers already assigned here. Throughout the game, various effects and advanced rules may interact with this area.

These components are used throughout the game and should remain accessible to all players.

Game Flow
Each game consists of five rounds.

Every round is divided into two phases:
1. Worker Placement Phase

Players take turns placing workers onto available locations around the casino.
Workers placed on financial or utility spaces activate immediately, while workers placed on mini-games wait until the Activation Phase.
2. Activation Phase

Players activate mini-games in turn order.
Only mini-games containing one of your workers may be activated by you. When a mini-game is activated, all players with workers in that mini-game participate.
Once all mini-games have been resolved, workers return to their owners and a new round begins.

After the fifth round, proceed to final scoring.
Winning the Game

After the fifth round:
Players receive any remaining Uncle Tony bonuses.

All loans must be repaid.
Players total all remaining cash.

Tie Breakers
If multiple players are tied:
Fewest Loan Tokens.

Most Workers.
Highest position on the Turn Order Track.
If all players have lost all their money, the player with the fewest Loan Tokens wins instead.
