Little Witch is a 1-2 player game about problem solving, exploration, experimentation, and clever combat. While the game focuses on a single primary character, it’s a great team experience!

You will take the role of a young adventurous girl who just learned that she possesses magic when she visits Coven Cove; the fabled island of witches. Unfortunately there are no real witches anymore and the island has become a mere tourist attraction. That is, until Reni decides to attempt the infamous witch trial to unlock her power and become the first witch in over a century. To complete the trial, you will explore the island to find the 5 Altars and defeat the challenges within, unlocking a bit more of your magic with each one. Although the magic you learn will be crucial to completing the trial, your trusty slingshot will aid you in overcoming the many dangers of the island such as hazardous terrain and even monsters. Along the way you’ll meet the many interesting characters that inhabit the island as well as discover many secrets and forgotten treasures.

The many locations of the island are divided into scenes that the player will explore 1 page at a time from the map book. Each scene is full of numbered points of interest. Many of these numbers are clearly visible, some are hidden, while others are only revealed by completing certain tasks. When the player interacts with these numbers they read an entry from the story book. The many items the player collects have numbers that can be combined with the numbers throughout the scenes which lead to different story entries. You will also gain codes as you explore and interact with the world. These codes can also be combined with the scene numbers which lead to even more story entries.

While exploring, the player will also encounter monsters that must be defeated using a memory-based combat system. While using various ammo in your slingshot and the spells you’ve acquired will aid you greatly, you will need to figure out the pattern as quickly as possible to avoid defeat.
