LIMO is an abstract two-player duel played on a 7x7 board that revolves around a unique "reversive" twist. Each player champions one color—black or white—aiming to dominate the board. However, the game subverts traditional area control: while you want to spread your color, clustering it into solid formations works strictly against you.

Players share a common bank of 17 dual-colored polyomino pieces, ranging from one to six cells in size. On your turn, you select an available piece from the bank, rotate it, and choose which side to place face-up. Flipping a piece completely inverts its black and white cells. The tactical core lies in placing these pieces to scatter your own color across the board while intentionally herding your opponent's cells into specific shapes, such as straight lines or 2x2 squares.

The path to victory depends on the chosen game mode. In the Basic sudden-death mode, forming a line of six cells of your own color results in an instant loss; otherwise, the player with the most cells wins. In the scoring modes, the game continues until no more pieces can be placed. Players then score points for their overall color majority, plus bonus points for any lines and squares they successfully forced the opponent's color to form.
