The Grotto of Damnation presents a dark and brutal fantasy. The player takes on the role of the Bearer of Annihilation, a warrior condemned to fight their way through a cursed grotto infested with blood-drinking demons, whose ultimate master is Haima. There is no room for mercy or escape: progress is only possible through the absolute destruction of everything that inhabits the place. The setting emphasizes violence, fatalism, and the feeling of being trapped in a cycle of bloodshed and eternal damnation.

Gameplay:
The game is a solo experience based on cards and 1d6 rolls. Each turn, a Grotto card is revealed, which may grant items, have no effect, or force the revelation of Damnation cards, where monsters or other situations appear. The player manages a small inventory of items that modify dice rolls and provide tactical effects, such as avoiding combat, healing, or manipulating the decks. Combat is the core of the game and is resolved action by action, with the player choosing between attacking, using items, or doing nothing—always at the risk of losing Hearts if they fail or hesitate.

How to Win:
To win the game, the Grotto deck must be completely exhausted and all revealed Damnation cards resolved, which means surviving every combat and event without the player’s Hearts ever reaching zero. Defeat is immediate if the player loses all their Hearts at any point. Temática: La Gruta de la Condena presenta una fantasía oscura y brutal. El jugador encarna al Portador de la Aniquilación, un guerrero condenado a abrirse paso por una gruta maldita infestada de demonios hematófagos, cuyo señor final es Haima. No hay espacio para la piedad ni la huida: el avance solo es posible mediante la destrucción absoluta de todo lo que habita el lugar. La ambientación enfatiza la violencia, la fatalidad y la sensación de estar atrapado en un ciclo de sangre y condena eterna.

Jugabilidad: El juego es una experiencia en solitario basada en cartas y tiradas de 1d6. En cada turno se revela una carta de Gruta que puede otorgar objetos, no tener efecto o forzar la revelación de cartas de Condena, donde aparecen monstruos u otras situaciones. El jugador gestiona un pequeño inventario de objetos que modifican las tiradas y ofrecen efectos tácticos, como evitar combates, curarse o manipular los mazos.
