Affix the six colored traffic-light symbols to one of the dice. Before the game begins, place one of the cut-out "road closed" signs anywhere on the roads shown on the game board. Each player also receives a "road closed" sign; this may be placed on the path the first time a player rolls a 6.

Players take turns rolling the dice. The person with the highest roll goes first. It does not matter whether you start at the entrance or the exit of the town. Roll both dice at the same time. If the traffic-light die shows green, you may move your piece forward by the number of spaces indicated on the second die. If it shows yellow, you may roll again. If it shows red, you must stop—your turn ends, and it is the next player's turn. Move your game pieces along the black road markings.

You must always obey the traffic signs. If you land on a "Stop" sign, you must skip one turn. When it is your turn again, if another player’s piece is on the main road (in the spaces between the "main road" signs), you cannot move forward until those pieces have cleared the intersection. If you land on a "Maximum Speed ​​30 km/h" sign, you may only move forward one space per turn until you have passed the sign marking the end of that speed limit.

You cannot drive past or over the "road closed" signs placed on the board. You must land exactly on the space occupied by the sign. If you succeed, you may pick up that sign and immediately place it anywhere else on the road to block another player’s progress.

The first player to reach the opposite side of the town is the winner.
