A Kōshodō egy remek társasjáték, 3 - 6 játékos részére, az átlagos játékidő rövidebb, csak 30 - 60 perc. A társast, 12 éves kortól ajánljuk kipróbálni. A játékmenet erősen épít a kollekció gyűjtés mechanizmusra.

The ukiyo-e woodblock prints belong to the most unique art Japan has to offer. By playing Kōshodō, you immerse yourself in the 'floating world' of 18th and 19th century Edo (current-day Tokyo). You assume the role of an ukiyo-e publisher, tasked with bringing the most valuable set of prints to the Edo market. You try to appeal to your customers with images of landscapes, city life, 'beauties', actors and much much more.
The players try to collect their ukiyo-e by strategically trading with opponents and with four central stacks of cards. Points are earned by collecting the most valued prints, the 'beauties' and 'actor portraits' in particular. Meanwhile bonus points can be gathered by placing a series of similar cards next to each other. However, as not all cards are visible, you will need to guess who of your opponents is in the lead and who is lagging behind. And take care: ghosts, warriors and censorship will offer unpleasant surprises!
All the cards in the game are digitized copies of historical ukiyo-e prints, kept in the collections of the Royal Library of Belgium, the Royal Museums for Art and History in Brussels and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. As such, you are playing with the exact same images that were sold in Edo!
