Korpi is a cooperation board game based on Finnish folklore, mythology and history. The game also features a mobile application and NFC connection to bring in some magic from outside the box.
Game has multiple stories which are played in two parts, starting from adventuring phase and ending in battle phase. During the adventuring phase players take turns to explore the adventure board and encounter various events with multiple choices for the player. The events reward players with artefacts, penalties and bonuses to nature connection and to player health points. The story ends in the battle phase where the players encounter the villain of the story and fight them. During the fight the accumulated nature connection will have an effect and the artefacts found may play a crucial role for the players.
Player's emerge victorius when they defeat the villain in the battle phase. Players are defeated if all players fall in the battle against the villain.
