It was a bad wreck, yet somehow, you survived. You don't remember what happened, or how, but something went terribly wrong aboard that cursed vessel. Now you must begin the incredible journey that lies ahead, mustering every ounce of strength and willpower you have left, with one goal in mind ... staying alive.

Players travel a modular tile map to reveal uncharted areas, acquire resources, and build necessary items needed to outlast nature's harshest elements. Over the course of eight rounds, an event-driven scenario containing mission-critical objectives force players to wisely manage their precious inventories and prized possessions. These objectives must be completed by the end of the eighth round in order for players to be victorious.

Journey's Edge features strictly strategic gameplay, with hardly any luck (or dice). At each player's disposal is a deck of action cards that are used to move their character across the board to gather food, wood, stone, and fur, which can then be spent to create items like clothing and shelter. They must manage these limited resources carefully and work together as a team to determine the best course of action. To succeed, no one can be left behind.

Discover enchanted locations. Gather valuable resources. Craft useful tools and weapons. Encounter deadly creatures and monsters, and uncover magical artifacts that will assist you in your quest at Journey's Edge. Odds are against you, but perhaps your fate is not sealed. As part of a team of seasoned expeditionists, you know what must be done. The question is, will it be enough to ensure your survival?
