Players take the role of museum directors in Treasure Keepers (国宝守护人), uncovering the stories behind cultural relics by organizing exhibitions that showcase national treasures. Through successful exhibitions, players increase the reputation of their museums and bring attention to the historical significance of these artifacts.

Players also seek out cultural treasures that are located overseas and attempt to return them to their homeland. At the end of the game, the player with the highest museum reputation becomes the winner.
