The map is laid out on a suitable surface.

One player is assigned the task of drawing question cards and asking questions to the relevant player, as well as ensuring that trades are conducted in an orderly manner.

The game box is placed near this player.

2.
Each player chooses one of the colored camels.

Later in the game, when they want to build a caravanserai, they choose a caravanserai of the same color as their camel.

Each player is given 24 gold coins.

4.
The goods cards, point cards, and question cards are placed in order on a suitable part of the map.

Since the question cards cover different subjects, players have the right to choose the subject they want to be asked about when it is their turn.

5.
Each player draws a question card in turn.

They place their camel in the city where the madrasa mentioned on the question card is located.

6.
The order of play is determined by the players' seating order or by an arrangement agreed upon among themselves.
