Impostor – Classic Edition is a social deduction party game in which one player secretly takes on the role of the Impostor while everyone else knows the same hidden word.

Over three clue-giving rounds, players take turns offering carefully chosen hints. Those who know the secret word must reveal enough to prove they belong without making the answer too obvious. The Impostor, who receives only a related hint word instead of the actual solution, must bluff convincingly, gather information from the other players' clues, and avoid attracting suspicion.

After the clue rounds, the group discusses and votes on who they believe is the Impostor. If the Impostor remains undiscovered, they win the round. If they are identified, the other players win. With multiple words available on each card, the game allows several rounds to be played in succession with minimal setup, emphasizing observation, deduction, and convincing deception.
