愛羅武粋逸 (あいらぶすいいつ) (A ira busu i itsu) is a game from Japan, where one player is trying to fool the other players (working together as a chorus (大喜利 Ogiri)).

Each player is a JKヤンキー (JK Yankee), a High School delinquent, from the same school or the local area (boys or girls alike). The players take turns to try and buy sweets from a shopkeeper (the player on their left), without the other Yankees finding out, because wanting sweets will damage their reputation. In Japan, Yankee is a broad term from 1904 meaning thug or tough, later being styled on the 50s rockers/bikers style, and then with punks.

The turn player looks at a theme card showing a list of different confectionery they want to buy, and then writes on a whiteboard. But they try to write in a way that only the shopkeeper will comprehend. If the gang of their yob friends can work out the sweets the player is trying to buy, they win the theme card, worth 1pt. But if the player can disguise their intent, and the player who's the shopkeeper this turn can also read it, they win the card instead.

So the player is trying to write the characters in a way that the shopkeeper will understand, but the others will not. For example, to order a Macaron the player might write Makron. The game is timed with a stopwatch, with the same time being applied to the Yankee and to the gang. So the faster the Yankee can complete their writing, the less time the gang has to work it out.

At the end of the game, the player with the most points is the winner, being the best at disguising and deducing.
