Hydra társasjáték

Angol leírás

One player takes the red pieces, the other the black pieces. The pieces for each side consist of:

1 lion
2 snakes

2 tigers
2 elephants
2 bears

9 monkeys.

The pieces are placed on two opposite sides of the board. The trick is to free the captured lion by moving it to the center of the board with several moves and the help of the other pieces. The opposing pieces, in turn, prevent this with further moves. Each animal has its own movement type. The first player to get their lion to the center without being threatened by an enemy piece wins. Incidentally, if the center space is free, it can also be occupied by any other piece.

Alternatively the game can be played with the goal to trap the lion, like the king in chess.
