Each general can command three types of units: crossbowmen, infantry, and cavalry, and can freely organize his army according to his own personalities.
Each player places the units on the tactical display and then resolves battles. A general who is supported by a "Strategist" has a real advantage.
The player who takes the first turn chooses whether to move one row and attack, or move two rows without attacking.

Crossbowmen can attack at long range, but they can only hit at a total of 10 or more. So if a general with a high attack modifier commands them, he can hit the enemy army unilaterally at long range, except if the enemy general's defense modifier is high.
Cavalry can only attack at a short distance, but it can hit at a total value of 6 or more. If the enemy general's attack modifier is high, there is a danger of being hit unilaterally while the fighting distance is still far away. However, if a general with a high defense modifier is able to close the distance before taking damage, he can inflict a heavy blow on the enemy force at once.

Infantry can attack at medium range and have a total hit value of 8 or more, so they can play a role in any battle, making them easy to use even for unexperienced players.

Each player must organize his army while keeping an eye on the characteristics of the enemy generals and their army formations.
Most military commanders are randomly drawn from the cup each turn.
