A standard research mission goes awry when your crew crash lands on an unknown planet, launching you into a desperate hunt for resources to repair your ship and return home. However, someone amongst your crew may have a different agenda—even you. Are you eager to find a way home or to plant the seeds of a new society on this planet? Will your choices be for personal gain or the good of humankind? With an entire planet to explore and only so much time before your Rover's engine becomes overloaded, you must do whatever it takes to go big and go home… wherever "home" may be.

Go Big And Go Home is a tile-placing and push-your-luck game for 2-5 players divided into two teams. Each team will use the same Rover to explore the map and transport resources to their respective Team Objectives. Players will draw cards from the Rover Deck to find Solar Energy Cards that allow them to perform actions such as Explore (place new Hexes on the map) or Move the Rover among the Roads, but be careful if you reach 3 Failures of the same type, you are out of the Round.

Each team has a Team Objective: Blues want to transport Resources to the 2 Blue Team Objective Hexes to repair the ship, while Reds want to transport them to the Red Team Objective Hex to Build a Settlement. Rush through your Team Objective, or Upgrade the Rover as a crew to try to explore more and earn more Victory Points by completing Personal Objectives or your Origin Quest; but be careful, volcanoes may erupt as a response to overexploiting this planet and destroy everything you built together.

The game ends at the end of the Round in which either team completes their Team Objective, and the Player with the greatest VPs wins the game.
