The Gnome Liberation Front is an international community with the mission to free garden gnomes deprived of liberty and leave them in forests far from human property. Sending photos of the gnomes to their former captors is optional. In the game, each player is a GNF member with the only objective to release garden gnomes and place them in the most prosperous areas of the forest to help them to reinsert in their new lives.

The game is played in turns until it is no longer possible to free a new gnome. The player who best locate their released gnomes will win the game. In turns, players must swap, push or rotate tiles to get a pattern. Doing so, they free a gnome and get a new objective card which indicates where to locate the gnomes in a forest tabletop.
