Theme:
Be the first player to steal your opponents' lawn ornaments and claim victory in this wacky and whimsical 2-4 player board game. Mix strategy, stealth, and high fashion as you command your gnome army to become the backyard champs!

Objective:
The game ends once one player finds an opponent's lawn ornament underneath one of their three mushroom tokens.

Gameplay:
Setup:

Choose a Side: Each player decides which gnome army they will command (The Brash Bears, The Funky Flamingos, The Outrageous Owls, or The Tricky Turtles). Each army is mechanical the same, so this choice is purely stylistic.
Landscape: Each player chooses a yard board and decides which side will connect to their opponent's yard board. In 3- and 4-player games, there is a center yard board that each player connects to.
Set Traps and Hide Your Lawn Ornament: Each player puts their 3 mushroom tokens (mushroom side up) on any spaces that aren't a clothesline or a flower. Under each mushroom is either a:
Lawn Ornament: Protect this at all costs. Once one player uncovers an opponent's lawn ornament, they win the entire game!
Bomb: When a player uncovers a bomb, each gnome on that space gets blown back to its reserve. Then, remove the bomb from play.
Spring Trap: When a player uncovers a spring trap, the owner of the trap rolls a 6-sided die. That player moves each gnome on that space a number of spaces up to the number rolled. Then, remove the spring trap from play.

Deploy Your Gnomes: Each player puts 1 of their gnomes onto each of their mushrooms. The remaining 2 gnomes go into their reserve.
Cards in Hand: Each player starts with 3 cards in their hand.
Shuffle the gnome deck. Each player draws 1 gnome card.
Shuffle the clothes deck. Each player draws 1 clothes card.
Shuffle the nature deck. Each player draws 1 nature card.

Time To Play: Each player rolls a die. The player with the highest roll goes first. Turn order goes clockwise (to the left).

On Your Turn:
Players follow these steps during each of their turns:

Search: Your gnomes that are on an opponent's mushroom can flip it over. If you find...
A lawn ornament, you win!

A bomb, each gnome on the mushroom blows up!
A spring trap, each gnome on the mushroom gets flung!

Play: Play any number of cards from your hand. There are three main types of cards...
Gnome Cards: Use these one-time effects to advance your own strategy or mess with opponents.
Nature Cards: Befriend adorable backyard critters for powerful one-time effects. Or, harness the power of nature for battlefield-altering ongoing effects.
Clothes Cards: Dress up your gnome army to improve your stats and gain useful abilities. Discover exciting combinations between different outfit types.

Run: Move each of your gnomes a number of spaces up to your army's speed (determined by the clothes cards you're wearing).
Fight: Each of your gnomes can attack up to one opponent's gnome that is within your army's range (determined by the clothes cards you're wearing). Victory is determined by rolling dice and modifying results based on the clothes cards the attacker and defender are wearing.
Cleanup: If you have more than five cards in your hand, discard until you only have five. Take off and discard all slugslime cards from your army.
Prep: Draw a gnome card. Draw a nature card for each of your gnomes that's on a flower space. Draw a clothes card for each of your gnomes that's on a clothesline space.

Winning the Game:
Players continue taking turns until someone wins. The first player to find a lawn ornament underneath one of their opponent's mushroom tokens wins!
