The world is brimming with powerful magic! You are a pupil studying under powerful Hofthanrs, individuals with incredible magical potential, and fighting for your spot in their ranks. You must outsmart, outplay, and deceive your way to victory.

You start with a random Affinity, a unique supercharged ability that can be used sparingly throughout the game. Next, you select one Hofthanr out of three drawn from the central deck to be your secret objective. Then, you assemble a ten-card deck of spells from the six different spells available in the center. Now you're ready to begin.

You'll conjure one spell per turn into your Grimoire. You have only four spaces for these spells. You choose whether or not to activate the effects of the spell you conjured each turn; sometimes, activating the spells and targeting a player across from you may just earn you a new enemy! You can also quick cast or blast a spell's secondary effect from your hand at any time, including as a response to something off your turn! And finally, if you can deduce what your opponents are trying to do before they can do it, you can wager and guess as to their secret objective. Whoever is correct will grow more powerful.

The game concludes when a player completes three Hofthanrs before anyone else. The game only gets faster and more chaotic as the secret objectives are completed, as they grant you new perks and abilities! The game is simple to pick up and learn, but hard to master!
