A group of Travellers takes a wrong turn into the world of the Firefly family in Fright Fights: House of 1000 Corpses, a head-to-head card battle to the death pulling from iconic moments of the film.

Each player has a character card, their character's deck, and a hand of four cards. Every round, both players choose a card face-down, then reveal simultaneously, with the priority player acting first. Attack cards require a six-sided die roll to hit; Defense cards block incoming damage; Versatile cards let you wait until your turn to decide whether to attack or defend; and Special cards provide instant effects or ongoing equipment. A natural 6 is a critical hit that cannot be blocked. Health is tracked on a ten-sided die, and the first player to reduce their opponent to 0 health wins.

The sides play asymmetrically: the Travellers talk, dodge, and fight their way toward escape, while the Firefly player controls Captain Spaulding, Otis, and Baby — three characters with 3 health and a unique trait each, giving the family three lives but a fragile one each. All Fright Fights games are cross-compatible — any character can fight any character from another set — and a 2-vs-2 team mode brings the fight to four players. (The game plays with exactly two or four players; there is no three-player mode.)
