For All Mankind is a strategic game of diplomacy, trade, and conquest. Establish mining colonies around the solar system and nuke your competitors to become the most powerful stellar empire. More fuel is needed to build colonies further from your empire, which can change as the planets move around the sun and change positions relative to each other. So if you want that Saturn mine, you better build it now.

Colonies will increase a player’s income of oxygen, water, fuel, or iron, and becomes more productive when a player controls all the colonies on one planet. Players can also improve their empires by investing in research, which impart special abilities.

Players can also buy Espionage cards to disrupt their opponents' plans, such as by building nukes, stealing, and other diabolical shenanigans.

For All Mankind supports one to four players. If there are fewer than four human players, the rest are controlled by "bots," which are designed to mimic the unpredictability of having human players at the table, and can be quite challenging to beat.

The game title refers to the 1961 quote by astronaut Neil Armstrong, “One small step for a man, one huge advancement for all mankind.”
