Fletcher Leader adapts the core mechanics of Spruance Leader to the World War II Pacific Theater, placing you in command of a U.S. Navy destroyer task force during the WW2 Pacific war.

While the campaign structure, task force management, and tactical naval combat remain familiar, the focus shifts from Cold War missile warfare to gun duels, torpedo attacks, night engagements, and anti-submarine warfare.

Your force is built around Fletcher-class destroyers, supported by other destroyers, cruisers, and battleships. Missions include escorting convoys, bombarding enemy positions, intercepting the Tokyo Express, and hunting Japanese surface ships and submarines.

Fletcher Leader emphasizes the uncertainty of radar-directed night combat, coordinated task force tactics, and the constant challenge of balancing aggressive action with the survival of your ships.
