Angol leírás

Fimbulfamb is not a simple trivia game. Fimbulfamb is a game of deceptions. Players try to deceive each other by making up meanings for the funniest, most obscure and ridicilous words found in the Icelandic language. Players get points if the can deceive their opponents or if they find the correct meaning of the word.

1 game board

6 player pieces
6 pencils
6 writing blocks

1 box of cards with 3 words each (about 400 cards)
1 paper with game rules

Rules

Initiation
players pick a piece to represent themselves on the board and place it on the starting spot.
The person who is in charge of the round shall be the Fambi.
For the first round, the oldest player shall be the Fambi. After their round is over, the person on their left shall be the Fambi for the next round, and so on.

Gameplay
Fambi draws a card and picks a word (based on the symbol on the spot his piece is standing on) and reads it out loud
The other participants write down what they think the word means, and hands the paper to the Fambi without letting the others know what was written.
The Fambi shuffles the given papers and reads them out loud, slipping in the actual meaning (if nobody wrote it already) into the selection at random.
Participants each guess what they think the word means from the given options. Multiple people may pick the same answer.
Points are given based on how people guessed. Everyone moves their piece forward equal to the points they earned.

Scoring
If someone guesses the answer you wrote, you get 1 point.
If someone guesses the correct answer, they get 1 point.
If nobody guesses the correct answer, then the Fambi gets 2 points.
If player writes the correct answer, then they get 2 points.

Next roundAfter people move their pieces, the next player in line becomes the Fambi and draws a card, and so the game continues.

The first player to reach the end wins.
