In Feathers & Scales, you are a conservationist working at a large wildlife refuge in the Southern United States to gently manage the animal populations there, and compete with your colleagues to make the greatest contributions to research and more.

The game consists of several rounds where players will unlock new abilities, plan an expedition, and then set out to one of three habitats - the Forest, Marsh, or River - represented by three different decks. Players will simultaneously resolve their expeditions by drawing, playing, adding, and removing cards from these decks as they manage the populations of different animals in each habitat, such as: predators, invasive species, nocturnal animals, and even some human visitors!

Players will gain resources and unlock discoveries as they journey through these different environments, giving them new and powerful options as well as victory points. Whoever gains the most points from their conservation efforts is crowned the winner!
