FATA is an educational and strategic card game designed to challenge players’ observation and logical thinking skills. Using a deck of colorful number cards, players take turns placing cards on the table to build interconnected patterns, much like a mathematical crossword.

The goal is to create valid chains of numbers and colors by applying simple mathematical relationships. Each move requires careful planning and analysis, rewarding creativity and foresight.

With its intuitive rules and short playtime, FATA is ideal for families, educators, and anyone looking to combine fun with cognitive development. The game supports 2 to 6 players and plays in about 20 minutes, making it a versatile choice for classrooms or casual game nights.

The goal is to be the player with the highest score after an indeterminate number of rounds.
To begin, deal 4 cards to each player and place the remaining cards face down in the center to form a draw deck. Flip over the top card; this will be the reference card to start the game.

On their turn, a player has 2 options:

Add 2, 3, or 4 cards to the table, forming a single interconnected line like a crossword. The condition is that for each characteristic of the cards (color, element, number), they must be either all the same or all different. Then, draw from the deck the same number of cards that were played.
Pass their turn. In this case, they may also exchange any number of cards from their hand (from 0 to 4).

At the end of each turn, players score points equal to the numbers on the cards involved (both those played from the player's hand and those already on the table).

The game ends when all cards in the draw deck have been used and one player has emptied their hand (doubling the score from their final move).
Each player then totals their points, and the player with the highest score wins.
