Eliria is a dark fantasy trading card game created in Monterrey, México, by Javier Náñez Pro. Set in a world of magic, strategy, and shadow, the game immerses players in a universe where powerful warriors, mystical beings, spirits, beasts, and reanimated creatures clash in battle. The lore draws from a rich original fantasy setting, giving each card a distinct identity within a broader, evolving world.

Each player builds a deck with no duplicate card names and brings it to the table alongside three 12-sided dice, which serve as counters. Players place up to three combat cards on their side of the board across three aligned spaces, and fill the lower row with summoning and reaction cards. Each combat card has a Potential stat (its maximum power capacity), a Resistance threshold, and one or more attacks that require a minimum accumulated power to use. Summoning cards come in three subtypes — Ephemeral (single-turn effects), Adhesion (linked to an active combatant), and Field (affecting both players indefinitely) — while Reaction cards are played face-down and can only trigger during the opponent's turn when their activation condition is met.

Victory is achieved by destroying all of the opponent's combat cards on the board, or by forcing them to draw from an empty deck. A player also loses if they enter the Power Phase with no combat cards in play. Each turn flows through four phases: Initial (discard reaction cards, draw one), Movement (activate, play, or reposition cards), Power (all combatants gain one power point up to their Potential), and Attack (declare one attack per combatant, only against the directly aligned opponent card). The alignment rule and the three-card rule create a positional puzzle that shapes every decision on the board.

What sets Eliria apart is its emphasis on reactive, adaptive play. Since no two decks can share duplicate card names, every deck is inherently unique. The interplay between face-down bluffing, reaction traps, and power accumulation means that no single strategy dominates — players must read their opponent and adapt in real time to come out on top.
