Long ago the Gems of Power were wielded by Heroes and Wizards. Commanding and combining them to subdue the powers of evil, and drive them from the land. Over time the heroes vanished and the Wizards aged, and retired. The evil returned, hiding in the dark depths and causing havoc among the lands above.

The Gems have been found again... it is time to purge the evil once again WITH MORE HEROES!!

This Dungeon2(squared) Expansion contain 4 new characters for the Dungeon2(squared) base game.

The Phantom Knight has the ability to *Phase*, and meet the Safe Passage challenge using only the 3 gem card, however when taking this option no other Rewards can be claimed that round.

The Monk has 3 empty crystals ready to be filled with purple, orange, green or white, by combining them with mixed gems of those colors.

The Assassin may use their 3 gem card as 3 blue or 3 yellow gems toward their set of challenges, or as three green gems toward a reward from another character's set of challenges.

The Alchemist has a 3 gem card with one of each red, yellow, and blue gems. Two of these gems may be combined toward an Alchemist's challenge, or the 3 gem card may be used to discard a 2 gem Treasure card to draw a Magic Item card.

In Dungeon2 (squared) take on the role of one of four characters and face the challenges of a randomly created dungeon.

Base game play description:

Playing 4 cards from your 6 card character deck provides you with a number of primary colored gems. These gems may then be mixed to produce a number of secondary color gems which are used to succeed at the challenges of the dungeon.

Meet the "Safe Passage" challenge of a room to safely pass through.
Meet the "Treasure" challenge of a room to collect a Treasure Card to add to your Character Deck. Increasing your, or another player's, resource pool.
Meet the "Magic Item" challenge of a room to gain a Magic Item that may provide you more gems or heal your wounds.
Meet the "Gold" challenge of a room to collect Gold, which counts as victory points toward being crowned Champion of the Dungeon!

Each original character deck has one card with three gems which may be used for its face value, or for its Special Power which may effect either yourself or another character.

Warrior: Draws an extra card or can "pull" another character along to the next room.
Cleric: Use your protection spell to stave off damage for yourself, or another player.
Thief: Steal the top treasure card from the deck to add to your, or another player's, character deck.
Mage: Reduce the Challenge for another player by 2.
