Choose one of two game modes. "Mauna Manalo" where you try to remove all of the cards from your hand to win or "Pataasan ng Ihi", a Filipino idiom which literally translates to a competition on who could pee the highest (figuratively an inflated ego), where you try to get the most points by gathering the highest number of cards before the deck runs out.

At the start of the game, the deck full of syllables from the Filipino language will be shuffled. Every player will be given eight [8] cards, while the rest of the cards will form the drawing deck in the middle. A starting card called "pamato" will be revealed from the top of the deck and the first player will try to make a word using as many of their own syllable cards by connecting it to the beginning, end, or both sides of the "pamato", the completed word will be kept in the bank of the player who made it. After making a word however, other players could do "sapaw" or add syllables to the word that was just made. The first one to place their cards and make a new valid word will take the cards to their own bank as score. Players could "sapaw" as much as they want as long as the next player is not yet drawing cards and a valid word is yet to be made.

Before finishing a turn, the player must place a card from their hand to the middle to be used as the next "pamato". If a player cannot make a move at all, they just pass their turn and skip this process. The next player must then draw one card from the deck and begin their turn by doing the steps previously mentioned. The game will continue until one player loses all of their cards or if the deck runs out depending on the game mode.

Players may use one of the many action cards available before the end of each turn (or at the start for TODAS) and influence the game. These actions are written at the top of some syllable cards and can only be activated if placed by the player as "pamato". TOKI, reverses the direction of play; LAKTAW, skips the next player; +DOS, makes the current or the next player draw two cards; +KWATRO, makes them draw four; PITIK, makes a chosen player draw one card; and TODAS lets the current player play that syllable to make another word instead of the one revealed as "pamato".
