DNAvel is an intricate tabletop miniature game where you get to be a cosmic geneticist.

Using a system of Chromosomes (C) and Technology Points (TP), you'll craft a unique species and arm them with (sometimes) advanced technology.

Your team of up to 5 models will then duke it out on a strategic playing field, proving once and for all whose genetic craftsmanship is superior.

Objective:
In this game wins the player who gathers the most Variability Points (VPs).

Turn Structure:
Players roll 1D6 each. Whoever has the highest roll starts the game. If it is a tie, roll off again.

Do it until you have a clear winner. Players activate their representatives one by one starting with the winner of the roll off. Each player has 1 Normal Activation per representative per turn and a total of 1 Adaptive Activation per turn. Each representative that is not fainted must activate at least once before a player may use the Adaptive Activation. The Adaptive Activation may be used on any representative that is not fainted. Apart from using an Adaptive Activation, each representative may be activated only once per turn.

Gathering Variability Points:
A player gains Variability Points for the following achievements:

Making a representative of the opponent Species faint gets you 2 VP.
Scanning an object (see Scanning) of interest gets you 1 VP.

Scanning a Point of Interest (see Points of Interest and Scanning) gets you 2 VP.
Unfainting (special term, see Fainting) a representative of the friendly Species gets you 1 VP.

List of Actions:

Move: you may move by up to your Movement characteristic.
Attack: you may attack with one of the equipment pieces your representative holds in their hand.
Swap Gear: you may replace a piece of equipment in one of your limbs that are able to hold Gear.
Activate: you may activate a piece of equipment. You must hold the piece in your limb to activate unless it has a “NNTH” functionality.
