Das perfekte Wort (German for The perfect Word) is a competitive word game for one to six players.

The game is played over 9 rounds. Each round, the players reveal a combination of a letter and a word length. They then have one minute to come up with any word that starts with the given letter and is not longer than the given length.

The players score various points for their words, both during and at the end of the game: 5 points for finding a word, 5 points for matching the optimum (= maximum) length, 5 points each for matching certain letters on the game sheet, 5 points for being the first to include one of the bonus letters, as well as a certain number of points for each vowel in their word (determined by drawing a random score card at the start of the game).

The player with the most points wins the game.
