This is a card game, where the players try to get all 5 cards belonging to one nationality. There are 3 game mechanics to help then to complete their sets: Assembling signal, parliament, defend and attack:
To play the assembling signal, the player to the left of the dealer asks any player: "I'm looking for the... (German planes, for example)!" If the person asked doesn't have this picture, they take over from the questioner and now search for whatever they are missing, from whomever they like. If the person asked has the requested card, they must hand it over if they only have the one card from the series (Germany). They may hand it over if they have two or more from it; however, they can then also "parliament" by replying: "Give me the... (Russian artillery) for it!" If the player being questioned has the requested card, they must hand it over, but in return receive the first card sought and remain in the lead. If the player being questioned does not have the card, the player being questioned must give the first card sought and 1/4 of their stake as compensation to the opponent. The player being questioned can also defend the card. In doing so, they become the attacker against the player in the lead.
One declares: "I attack! You give me the... (German Infantry, for example)." If the player being questioned does not have the card, the player being questioned takes their turn and receives 1 stake. If they do have the card, they must hand it over if it is the only one in the series, and also any second card. If the attacked player has more than one card, they can make a "parliamentary" offer, but if the exchange is unsuccessful, they must give the two cards and 1/4 of their stake to the opponent. They can, of course, also defend the card. If this counterattack fails, he must discard the two cards and pay half his stake as war compensation. The last player attacked can only defend himself if he has three cards from the series. Players can also try to acquire cards from series they don't already own. Once an army has been assembled, the five cards are placed face down on the table. Finally, each player receives one-eighth of the war treasury equal to the number of armies they have collected.
