Mutants. Psychics. Cannibals. Monsters. The Skarrd are all these things and much more. For generations the barbarian tribes have evolved and transformed into the survival-of-the-fittest cults. Samaria has suffered the raids and ambushes of the Skarrd for as long as they have hunted for flesh to fill their bellies and machine parts to replace their own failing bodies.
The Skarrd are a savage horde that has broken into several distinct cults based on how their teachings and ideals force them to evolve and survive the hellish environments of Samaria. The cults focus on what drives and strengthens them, turning each sect within the greater Horde into a distinct family of brutal, barbaric marauders. There is the sado-masochism of the Blood Cult, the conversion from flesh to machine within the Cult of Metamorphosis, the body ravaging poisons f the Toxic Cult, and now the animated death and nuclear powers of the newly risen Cult of Decay. All are strengthened by the Horde, but each in their own way.
Over a decade since his exile from New Ashkelon, Saint-turned-Father Johann has been gathering all of the Skarrd under his collective banner at the dreaded Fort Retribution. Something tremendous and horrifying is happening within the Skarrd and there is only one thing to be assured of - they might be the only ones to survive it.
