Dan Dan Dice (ダンダンダイス) is a fast-paced, cooperative conversational party game where success depends on how well you can read your friends' definitions of "big" and "small."

In this game, players work together to guess whether a clue giver is exaggerating a word to make it sound grander, or downplaying it to make it sound humbler, all based on the hidden roll of a die. It is a lighthearted icebreaker about calibration, wordplay, and seeing eye-to-eye.

Gameplay Overview

Set the Theme: Players choose a general topic or category card for the round (e.g., "Things that make you happy" or "Scary things").

The Secret Roll: The active player secretly rolls the custom die. The result tells them whether they must scale their answer up ("Age" / Exaggerate) or scale it down ("Sage" / Downplay).

The Clue: The player gives a single word or short phrase that fits the chosen theme, adjusted in scale according to their secret die roll.

The Discussion & Guess: The other players discuss the clue. They try to get inside the speaker's head to determine: Is this item actually huge to them, or are they just making it sound big because the die told them to? The group makes a final guess on whether the die was scaled up or down.
