The D6 Derby: A Dice-Based Racing Game

The D6 Derby is a fast-paced, tactical racing game for 1 to 6 players where you must master the balance between raw speed and precision driving.
Can you push your engine to the limit without losing control on the next turn?

Recommended for ages 10 and up, each race provides a thrilling 30–60 minutes of play (per race, dependent on the track you made).

Core Gameplay:
Every turn, you allocate your 6 dice between Accelerate (for speed) and Manoeuvre (for turning).

High scoring Accelerate dice, collisions and crossing the track edge with one or more wheels adds Strain dice to your pool for the next turn, possibly causing the loss of Accelerate or Manoeuvre dice.

Features and Modes

Campaign Mode:

Experience & Upgrades: Earn XP based on finishing position to unlock persistent Driver Skills (like Drift Master or Quick Reflexes) and powerful Car Upgrades (like Turbo Boost or Nitrous System).
Championship: Run a season of 5 to 8 races using a standard points system, with XP and upgrades carrying over between seasons.
Solo Play and AI Opponents: Race against a simple AI Opponent system, with difficulty settings from Novice to Champion that determine their dice allocation and movement strategy. Add Personalities (like the Aggressive Charger or Blocker) for extra flavor, and play a Solo Campaign with static or progressive AI rivals.
Variant Rules: Introduce realism and complexity with optional rules for Weather (affecting maneuver and strain), Fuel Management, Team Racing, and Qualifying.

What You Need To Play
To play the D6 Derby, you will need this rulebook, a track (hand-drawn or printed), measurement tools (ruler/tape), car miniatures/tokens (with a clear front orientation), and six-sided dice (D6) in two or three different colors for your Accelerate, Manoeuvre, and Strain pools.
